Kentucky Hoodies, T-Shirts, & Sweatshirts
Kentucky sweatshirts, t-shirts, & hoodies printed exclusively on premium garment-dyed Comfort Colors garments. Bourbon country, bluegrass hills, and horse country heritage on apparel that lasts.
Kentucky Sweatshirts, Bluegrass Layers That Last
Kentucky sweatshirts get their character from the same rolling hills and limestone creek beds that make the bourbon. From the horse farms outside Lexington to the distillery trail winding through the countryside, this is a state that rewards slow drives and long weekends. Our Kentucky crewneck is heavyweight garment-dyed Comfort Colors, pre-shrunk and soft from day one. Browse our Southeastern sweatshirts for more from the region.
Kentucky Hoodies, Derby Season and Beyond
Kentucky hoodies come out well before the first Saturday in May. Fall in the Red River Gorge, winter mornings in Louisville with fog rolling off the Ohio River, the chill at a late-season football game in Bowling Green. Our 9.5 oz. Comfort Colors 1567 hoodie has the weight and warmth for all of it, with a jersey-lined hood and garment-dyed finish that only improves with age.
Kentucky T-Shirts, Warm Nights and Open Roads
Kentucky t-shirts are for the porch-sitting months. Bourbon on the rocks, live bluegrass drifting from a barn somewhere in Woodford County, fireflies at dusk. Our State of Kentucky tee is 6.1 oz. ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed for that soft, vintage feel. Kentucky clothing that works year-round, from the Derby to December.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is garment-dyed apparel?
Each piece is dyed after it's sewn, not before. This gives Comfort Colors their signature soft, vintage, lived-in feel and rich color from day one. The color gets better with every wash, and slight color variations between pieces are normal and part of what makes each one unique.
Are your Kentucky clothing products the same as typical Kentucky gift shop sweatshirts?
Not even close. We print exclusively on Comfort Colors, one of the fastest-growing apparel brands in the country. Premium heavyweight garment-dyed apparel that's thicker, softer, and designed to last for years, not a single vacation.
How do I care for Comfort Colors garments?
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors and a mild detergent. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Skip the bleach, fabric softeners, and high heat. Wash separately the first time as the dye can bleed slightly. They only get softer with age.
Do Comfort Colors tees and sweatshirts shrink?
Comfort Colors are pre-shrunk during the garment-dye process, which significantly reduces future shrinkage. Stick with cold water and low heat in the dryer and you'll have no issues.
What is the fit style of Comfort Colors apparel?
Relaxed and slightly oversized with a casual fit. T-shirts are 6.1 oz. heavyweight 100% ring-spun cotton. Hoodies are 9.5 oz. 80/20 cotton-poly blend with a jersey-lined hood. Soft-washed so they feel broken-in from the first wear, not stiff or scratchy. See our Comfort Colors fit guide for full sizing details.
Will the print fade, crack, or peel?
Our designs are direct-to-garment (DTG) printed on pre-shrunk Comfort Colors garments, similar to screen printing but with sharper detail. Each garment is pretreated before printing, and the ink bonds directly into the ring-spun cotton fibers. No cracking, no peeling, no fading.
Do you offer free shipping?
We know shipping costs add up, so we pay shipping on all U.S. orders over $50. Just our way of saying thanks for shopping with a Maine company.
Do you offer wholesale hoodies, sweatshirts, and t-shirts for your Kentucky apparel?
Yes. We offer bulk pricing on all of our apparel, including Kentucky hoodies, sweatshirts, and t-shirts. Pricing is based on your specific order, and larger quantities mean better pricing. Contact us with your specific needs and quantities and we will put together a quote for you.
Will the colors match exactly what I see on screen?
Product images are digital mockups and may differ slightly from the finished garment. Colors can appear different depending on your screen's settings, and because every Comfort Colors piece is individually garment-dyed, natural shade variation occurs between batches. Print placement and size may also shift slightly from the mockup. These variations are part of what makes garment-dyed apparel unique and are not considered defects.
